Shane McNicholas

Founder

@elsephoto

Shane is a multi-instrumentalist, writer, and lifelong music nerd with a passion for live music, great tones, and great times. He spent two years studying Creative Writing at Kent State before continuing his education in Recording Arts and Jazz Guitar, earning a degree with a major in Recording and a minor in Jazz Guitar. Shane has been a photographer since 2020 and have been nominated for Best Photographer in Cleveland as well as have had his work published many times. He has photographed countless concerts and events and is always looking for more.

Shane has always been obsessed with discovering what's new, exciting, and different in music. Whether it's a local opener playing to 30 people or a massive touring act in a packed venue, he’s always been drawn to the energy and community that live music creates.

Else Concerts was born from that passion. Shane’s goal is to build a network of knowledge for music lovers and a team of passionate people who want to be right in the middle of the action—documenting not just what happened at a show, but what it felt like to be there.

As Shane’s friend Colin once told him, "This literally combines everything that you're good at." Hearing that helped him realize he was on the right path, and Else Concerts is the result.

Lindsey Poy

Through that one night, she fell into the world of live music, dj sets, celebrity, and all things night-life. She is currently the house photographer for Rocket Arena alongside shooting and writing about shows for Else Concerts.
