Come on. You know Coheed. You’ve heard at LEASTTT Welcome Home, if not that whole album for years. Their live set is as lively and incredible as you’d expect from someone with that glorious head of hair. I don’t want an autograph. I want to touch it. Then immediately sit down and take some guitar lessons because I know Claudio would have an absolute encyclopedia of guitar knowledge and songwriting techniques. To write, sing and play these songs is impressive to say the least. They played a good amount of hits from the album The Father of Make Believe, which isn’t necessarily what got the crowd going. Songs from In Keeping Secrets and Good Apollo are what the people wanted. The audio was incredible, whoever does their mix was perfect for the venue.
Taking Back Sunday was fun and super loose. Like, I’d believe that Adam, the vocalist, just woke up from a nap, chugged some tequila and jumped on stage. They played all the hits like Cute Without the E and MakeDamnSure as well as my favorite, This Photograph is Proof. I’m a sucker for drummers hitting the rims of the kit.
